For Senders

The Documents page keeps your Drafts, sent Envelopes, and requests received as a Signer, on tabs: All, Drafts, To sign, In progress, and Done. The list shows 10 documents a page, with Previous and Next buttons. Search matches the name, the message, the file name, the sender, and each Signer's name and email address. Open a document to see its PDF, Signers, routing, recent activity, and delivery state. An Envelope may be Draft, Sent, Completed, Declined, Voided, Expired, or need attention.

When every Signer has finished, Signit prepares the final PDF and Certificate of Completion. You will see those steps progress in the Envelope. If preparation keeps failing, the Envelope does not sit on "preparing" forever: it shows the failure and a retry button, and the evidence stays safe between attempts. If someone declines or the request expires, the Envelope stops and you are notified.

Both evidence documents are written in English whatever language the Envelope was sent in, so the same report can be read by anyone who has to check it later. Everything typed by a person -- the document title, the Organization name, each Signer's adopted name -- appears exactly as it was entered.

Void and reminders

You can stop an Envelope that was sent but is not finished. Open it and choose Void envelope. Signit asks you to confirm and lets you add an optional reason of up to 500 characters. Every Signer who has not signed is told it was cancelled, with the reason if you gave one. Signed copies are kept. Links stop working at once, and voiding it again does nothing. A draft is deleted instead, and a completed Envelope cannot be voided.

Use the reminder icon (Remind) next to a Signer who can sign now, or Remind everyone eligible for all of them. A Signer can be reminded once every 24 hours; the button shows how long until the next reminder. A Signer in a later routing stage cannot be reminded until their stage starts. Signit also sends each Signer who has not signed one automatic reminder three days after their invitation went out, as long as the invitation has not expired.

Make a copy

When an Envelope was voided, declined or expired, open it and choose Make a copy. Signit creates a new draft with the same subject, message, Signers, routing, language and PDF, and with the fields you placed. The copy opens in the editor. Nothing is sent: check it, then send it when you are ready. The original stays as it is. Signing links are not copied; the copy gets new ones when you send it.

For Signers

To sign shows only the requests you can act on now. Done keeps your personal signing history alongside the Envelopes you sent that have finished. These views are personal: they do not give you access to the Sender’s full document list or another Signer’s details.

After signing without an account, the completion page offers sign-in to keep your document: the new account automatically receives the request in Documents, even if the account email differs from the one that got the Envelope. If you are already signed in when you open the signing link, the linking happens by itself with no extra step.

After you sign, before everyone has finished, the page shows a receipt with the document name and the time you signed. The signed copy follows by email once everyone has signed.

Email and the app

Signer invitations are sent when a Signer becomes eligible. When the Envelope completes, each Signer gets an email with a link to their signed copy, which stays available for 30 days. The Sender is notified when the Envelope ends through completion, decline, or expiry. The app is the right place for current status; emails are notifications and may arrive late. If a Signer's eligible invitation needs attention, the Sender can retry that invitation from the Envelope after the email setup is fixed.
