Manage your organization
Invite people, switch between organizations, check your monthly sends, and rename or delete an organization.
The account menu
The bottom of the sidebar shows your email and the organization you are working in. On a phone, the same menu opens from the round letter button at the top right. From it you can:
- Switch organization. Pick another organization you belong to. The app reloads in that organization, and you see only its documents.
- Manage organization. Open the members screen described below.
- Sign out.
Every person starts in a personal organization. When you accept an invitation you get an extra organization; your own documents stay where they are.
Invite a member
Owners open Manage organization, type an email address and choose Send invitation. The person receives an email with a link that works for 7 days and only for that address.
- To accept, they sign in with the invited address and choose Join. If they are signed in with a different address, they are asked to sign in again.
- If the email did not arrive, use Resend under Pending invitations. Resending replaces the old link, so only the newest link works.
- Revoke cancels an invitation that has not been accepted.
What members can do
Members see and send every document of the organization, the same as an owner. Only owners can invite people, resend or revoke invitations, and remove members. A member sees the member list but not the invitation controls.
An owner can remove any member except themselves. A removed person loses access to the organization at once and goes back to their own personal organization; the documents they created stay in the organization.
Monthly sends
Under Monthly quota and usage the page shows your plan, how many documents your organization has sent this month, and the day the count resets. The month is the calendar month in Bucharest time. Drafts, uploads and signing do not count. Every member can see this page; it only shows figures. The count belongs to the organization, so deleting documents or deleting the organization does not lower it.
Rename and delete
Owners can rename the organization under Organization details. A name can be up to 80 characters; an emoji counts as one.
Owners can also delete the organization from the bottom of the page. Deleting removes every document, signer invitation, signed copy and certificate, every member and invitation, and the organization itself. It cannot be undone. Type the organization's name exactly to enable the button.
Signit refuses to delete an organization while any document still waits for signatures. Void that document, or let it finish, first. Otherwise the Signers who have not signed would be left with links that stop working and no notice.
Deleting an organization does not delete the people in it: each of them keeps their account and goes back to their own personal organization. If the deleted organization was your personal one, the next time you open Signit you start with an empty personal organization on the same plan, with the same send count for this month.
What stays after you delete
Signit keeps a small record of the deleted organization, so that deleting it cannot be used to get more sends in the same month:
- the organization ID and your account ID,
- the plan,
- this month's send count,
- the date it was deleted.
Signit keeps no document, no organization name, no email address and no signer data from it. Deleting does not reset the send count.
Agents
Your connected agent works in the organization you currently have selected. Switching organizations in the app switches it too.
